Erik has been on a mission for more than 15 years: to help everyone live healthily and lose weight if that's important. Most importantly, he wants to help make food into a natural and stress-free part of their lives.
Erik has been interested in food since he was a boy. Even at kindergarten he felt strongly about the food he was being offered, and this feeling only got stronger in school. At the age of 13 Erik started reading about nutrition and experimenting in the kitchen. Soon he started putting his knowledge into practice and has never looked back.
Erik now works with the Estonian government to improve the food served at kindergarten.
Erik has experienced firsthand what happens when you have an unhealthy diet: as a young man his digestion wasn't working very well, his moods were messed up and he wasn’t sleeping well, causing his bodyweight to go up and down. When he came to realise that most of his problems were caused by food, he acted fast to solve the problem.
After reading many articles about food and nutrition he made the link: what you eat affects how you feel and what you can do, particularly if you are sensitive towards certain types of food. After making changes to his diet he felt so much better. And he couldn't wait to help other people feel better too.
For the past six years he has helped close to 10,000 people in his native Estonia feel healthier and lose weight through the Dietless app. In total, Estonian Dietless customers have lost an astonishing 130k pounds of bodyfat!

Well it may seem tasty but that's a bit of a trick. Refined sugar will disrupt the normal function of key hormones in your body, which play an important role in determining when you eat, how much you should eat and your blood sugar levels. Dietless does include ‘sweet’ recipes (like gluten free pancakes with chocolate and avocado cream!) but these include naturally occuring sugar rather than refined.
First, there’s no real excuse to eat processed foods, because you’ll just eat yourself sick. It’s a short term fix with unpleasant consequences. Low nutrient foods have low energy level, meaning that you will too. And by eating processed vegetable oil your body will use it to make a cell membrane, which is far inferior to membranes made from healthier alternatives. You become what you eat!

First off, we don’t think gluten is in itself a bad thing and we don’t totally exclude it from recipes (unless you request a gluten free diet). The problem is bread: this is usually low in nutrients and high in calories and sugar. So the sugar sparks unhealthy cravings.
You can still eat bread, but just eat it rarely, eat a small amount and choose a sugar free option if possible.
We also include plenty of suggestions for gluten free alternatives to bread like rice cakes.
